Time to throw the leftovers out...

Unfortunately, my odds, ends and leftovers have stayed in the back of the 'fridge for so long that they now look like obscene science experiements. What I'm trying to say is I simply don't have enough time to keep this blog fresh, current and interesting. Therefore, I am discontinuing it...unfortunately, this entry will be my last.

However, I have decided to try and keep one blog going. If you have any interest in David Bowie, check out my Bowie Blog at

The leftovers are getting stale!

Due to severe time constraints recently, I have been neglecting this blog. Rest assured, I'll get back to frequent posting soon (probably the week of October 4th)!

Is she or isn't she? Who cares?

Question: What do Britney Spears's breasts and her latest marriage have in common?

Answer: They are both fake.

It turns out that she may not have said "I do" least not legally.

Is it just me, or does the Britster seem more like Tonya Harding every day? Its only a matter a time until her homemade sex tape hits the Internet.

Listen to what the Dan Says...

Here is the full text of Dan Rather's statement released today:

Last week, amid increasing questions about the authenticity of documents used in support of a 60 MINUTES WEDNESDAY story about President Bush's time in the Texas Air National Guard, CBS News vowed to re-examine the documents in question - and their source - vigorously. And we promised that we would let the American public know what this examination turned up, whatever the outcome.

Now, after extensive additional interviews, I no longer have the confidence in these documents that would allow us to continue vouching for them journalistically. I find we have been misled on the key question of how our source for the documents came into possession of these papers. That, combined with some of the questions that have been raised in public and in the press, leads me to a point where - if I knew then what I know now - I would not have gone ahead with the story as it was aired, and I certainly would not have used the documents in question.

Oh, Danny Boy

But we did use the documents. We made a mistake in judgment, and for that I am sorry. It was an error that was made, however, in good faith and in the spirit of trying to carry on a CBS News tradition of investigative reporting without fear or favoritism.

Please know that nothing is more important to us than people's trust in our ability and our commitment to report fairly and truthfully.
Hmmm. Do you believe him? Has your opinion of Rather, CBS News, or network news in general changed as a result of this controversy?

Oops, she did it again!

Pop tartlet Britney "Madonna-wannabe" Spears got married for the second time in nine months. If you care, read the article here.

Don't go away mad, Brittney. Just GO AWAY!

CBS: Oops!

Well they finally admitted it. Ten days ago I posted a blog entry that commented on the flap over CBS and their 60 Minutes report on President Bush's National Guard records. Now, CBS has concluded that "it was misled on [the Bush] National Guard Memos." Of course they aren't accepting outright responsibility for their mistake...they were "misled" so it wasn't totally their fault, right?

Kerry supporters make young girl cry

This is shameful. Supporters of John Kerry and John Edwards at a Democratic rally at Tri-State Airport in Huntington, W.Va, stole Bush/Cheney signs from the hands of an 11-year-old boy and a 3-year-old girl. The Dems tore up the signs and shouted and the family causing the little girl to cry.

Really classy move. I swear a mob mentality takes over at these rallies.

Here's an interesting blog written by a friend of mine: Convivial - Wit & Wisdom. You should check it out!

Well, thank goodness!

Well, I guess today is a good day for corpse stories. Thanks to Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, having sex with corpses is now officially illegal in California. The most shocking part of this story to me is that necrophilia was previously legal!

According to the article, the law is "the culmination of a two-year drive" to ban necrophilia. It took two years??? Why? Was there a special interest group arguing in favor of sex with dead people?

Do you want fries with that?

This is one meal I guarantee you won't be picking up at a drive-thru window any time soon! Zambian police arrested a man who...prepare yourself for this...exhumed, cooked and ate part of his grandson's corpse! The grandson had been dead since July.

Police spokeswoman Brenda Muntemba said:

"The man exhumed a corpse and cut off some flesh which he cooked in a pot and started eating ... we went to the grave of his grandson and verified that he had exhumed the body."
At this time, the police have no idea why the man, who had no history of madness, had started eating his grandson.

I guess this tops the story where the couple were married after they died!
